AMEFA  is an acronym for African Media Excellence Facility. Its founded on the realization that whilst technology has created more opportunities for younger journalists to thrive, the outcome is such that the content produced on digital and non digital platforms illustrates there remains an existing gap between the academia or journalists training institutions and the industry.Therefore,  as a professional initiative that champions practical excellence in journalism, AMEFA promises to fill that critical gap  and occupy the space between academia and Industry, to support younger journalists who graduate from university but need to be trained in practical media labs .

AMEFA exists to provide a center of excellence for the training of journalists; to raise the standard of reporting to a high professional level.
